Starting today, I’ll be posting prompts here twice a month. I’ll include one prompt for writing, and one prompt for art in each post. The prompts aren’t limited based on age/schooling like the magazine is, so anyone’s welcome to comment below with whatever they create! Just please keep everything family-friendly.
So, here’s the very first set of prompts:
Write a short story about a Zoggler. A Zoggler can be whatever you want it to be—an outlandish machine, a magical creature, the name of an eccentric character—be creative!
Choose a medium you don’t usually use and create a picture of something in the room that you’re in right now.
The Industrious Inkwell is a brand new art & lit magazine looking at releasing our first issue in April 2026! Thank you for your interest and enthusiasm. I’m excited to work together with this group of artists and authors to produce our very first issue of The Industrious Inkwell Art & Lit Magazine. Below I’ve listed what you need to know in order to get started. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions that are not answered by this document.
